via Daily Prompt: Glaring
Glaring mistakes are never as glaring as when I make them. But there they are. As a matter of fact those errors in due course often seem to have a glow all their own. Such as the gleam in the eyes of a googly eyed romantic such as myself. But as my past glares back at me I can only say it seemed like a good idea at the time.
So as I amble down the shimmering bike path of life I know the spicy carousel of my existence has been very good to me.
Yes, even the glaring omissions I see glowering at me from a distance. But they wouldn’t be omissions if I hadn’t omitted them.
New glasses help.
Here is a connection to a life long friend of mine. I often re-post his blog entries on WordPress because I want to share his words and photographs with the good people here. While I value the connections the Internets have brought me, none have the same intrinsic value of a grade school chum carried over from last century into this one. Even when our life paths varied and geographically diverged; when by all outward appearances the line was disconnected, this connection has lasted. On a foundation that consists of growing up, or pretending to, in the same city neighborhood with common friends and interests that reaches deep into the terra firma of life. Revitalized over the last decade upon regained geosynchronous proximity, I can confidently affirm this to be a rich, satisfying, and positive connection for my life and times.
